Brian Light

Brian is Executive Vice President leading Staples Services. He has global responsibility for Human Resources, Information Technology, Global Business Services and Global Sourcing. He also leads Staples programs aimed at delivering an omni-channel brand experience across multiple businesses. Brian was appointed to his current position in January 2012.

Brian joined Staples in 1998 and has held various leadership roles on the company's technology, public e-commerce and catalog teams. He most recently served as Executive Vice President and Chief Information Officer, responsible for information technology supporting the company’s Corporate, U.S. retail, European retail, European catalogue, and North American delivery operations.

Before joining Staples, Brian served as an Associate Partner in the Los Angeles office of Accenture. He has also served as a board member for Borders Group, Inc. He graduated from the University of California at Irvine with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics.

Brian’s favorite office product is the Lenovo ThinkPad Tablet.
