Cynthia Pevehouse

Cynthia is Senior Vice President, General Counsel, responsible for global management of the company’s Legal team, including corporate governance, regulatory compliance and ethics.

Pevehouse joined Staples in 2012 from international law firm Steptoe & Johnson LLP where she served as senior counsel advising senior management and boards of directors. Previously, she served progressively senior roles in legal management at Allianz of America Corporation, most recently as executive vice president and general counsel.

Prior to Allianz of America, Pevehouse served in senior legal positions in the technology industry, including general counsel at Polycom, Inc. and Ask Jeeves, Inc. and a senior role at Compaq Computer Corporation. She holds a J.D. from Williamette University School of Law.
