FRAMINGHAM, Mass.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--From asking for a raise, to fixing the computer when it crashes, life's everyday struggles can have people wishing for their very own Easy Button. Today, Staples, Inc. (Nasdaq: SPLS), the world's largest office products company, announced the launch of the Staples Easy Button(TM) desk accessory. As part of this new product introduction, The Staples Foundation for Learning(TM) will donate proceeds of the sales of the product, up to $1 million, to Boys & Girls Club of America.

In a survey of 1,000 consumers(a), thirty-nine percent said if they could press an Easy Button at work that could help them in a difficult situation, they would most likely use it when 'asking for a raise.' On the home front, forty-four percent said that the top home project that they would most like to have an Easy Button for was 'fixing the home computer when it crashes from a virus.' In addition, thirty-three percent said that 'getting to your destination without traffic or weather delays' would make the holiday season that much easier.

A quirky and fun product for the office or home desktop, the Staples Easy Button(TM) was developed to look exactly like the ones featured in the popular Staples commercials. When the button is pressed, it says the Staples tagline, "that was easy." The Staples Easy Button(TM) is a branded reminder to consumers that Staples can bring order to those in need of office products and services.
