FRAMINGHAM, Mass.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Beginning today, business commuters should keep their eyes open for walking, talking Staples.com office supply cabinets as Staples.com launches a guerrilla marketing campaign in Boston, New York and San Francisco. The Staples.com one-to-one marketing outreach will take the company's message to small business with sample products and a chance to win a year's worth of free office supplies, a value of up to $10,000.

"Our national contest kicks off with a unique marketing approach that takes our message directly to the streets where we can interact with existing and potential customers," said Kelly Mahoney, chief marketing officer for Staples.com. "It's a great complement to our integrated marketing strategy and it's also a lot of fun."

By personifying Staples.com with walking, talking supply cabinets, the guerilla marketing campaign will highlight the time and cost savings of shopping for office supplies on Staples.com. The office supply cabinets will hand out samples, promotional items and details on how to enter at Staples.com to win a year's worth of office supplies. The guerilla marketing campaign will run in each city for two weeks. Entries can be submitted until April 14 and on May 15 contestants can log on to Staples.com and view the winner. These marketing activities are a part of the Staples.com integrated marketing campaign, which also includes national television spots, print advertising in national small business publications, online advertising on major small business Web sites, outdoor components, email and direct mail.
